fight club was on tv yesterday and it rekindled some feelings. i purposely tried to pare down my lifestyle - and not get caught up in the race.

time vs inclination
time is taking inclinations bad rap...
people (myself included) often say that they haven't the time.
but really - truly they lack the inclination.

I set my morning alarm to kcrw so i can wake up to npr in the mornings.
Unbeknownst to me kcrw has a really great jazz program "Strictly Jazz"on saturday mornings. Every weekend I am happily stirred by a familiar melody. It is the perfect beginning to every weekend.

when i was a kid i didn't color as much as i outlined the outline.
i derived my pleasure and relaxation by fine tuning and exploring the boundaries. Sheesh, talk about living on the edge.

sometimes there are perfect moments of understanding.
when words you hear strike you.
words about you that bring you to your knees.
elliott smith was my first one.
his sweet silent self annihilation resonated with me.
and bright eyes in my current one.
i just got home from seeing him content with the talent that i just testified to.
